The Gleneagle Hotel

Company Overview The Gleneagle Group headquartered on the Muckross Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry is a family run business for over sixty years. Opened as a 8-bedroom guest house in 1957 by the grandparents of the current CEO Patrick O’Donoghue it has expanded hugely over that time into a successful hospitality and leisure group. It comprises of the 4* Gleneagle Hotel & INEC Arena:  279 bedrooms, 36 self-catering apartments two restaurants, seven bars, extensive leisure facilities, conference & banqueting facilities for up to 2 and a concert venue for up to 42. The diversity of the type of events that the organisation hosts and successfully runs requires us to have an extremely agile, equally diverse, well trained, informed team.  We have 5 employees across the three sites with the majority based in Killarney where the shared service departments of Marketing, Human Resources, Finance and Call Centre located. Our employee body runs across 5 nationalities, equally split between female and male, aged from 16 to 7, with diversity across all aspects.   We are currently fully staffed across all departments, a testament to the work of the HR department and the managers in tandem to execute and maintain our recruitment and retention strategy successfully. Right now, in our sector this is very unusual.
